As play continues to move forward through the second round of Group Match play of the FIFA 2019 Women's World Cup held across France, television ratings have surged in double digits throughout many global markets, including the United States. The US Women's National Team (USWNT) made their anticipated debut against Thailand with a decided victory during the second appearance of the Southeast Asian national team. All of this comes against the backdrop of a lawsuit filed by 28 members of the women’s team earlier this year, accusing the U.S. soccer federation of gender discrimination.
